About the Role
As a Speciality Clinical Nurse – Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) offers specialist nursing input within a multidisciplinary team, supporting clinical excellence, continuity of care, and culturally responsive practice. This role will provide Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to tāngata whaiora through both individual and group treatment, ensuring equitable, evidence-based care across the Far North. It also contributes to service development through clinical leadership, quality improvement, and support staff to build DBT capability across the wider service.

About you
The successful applicant will:
- Be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current annual practicing certificate
- Have PDRP at designated senior nursing level or Level 4
- Have Dialectical Behaviour Therapy intensive training
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mental health and addiction nursing
- A minimum of 7 years post registration experience
- Experience with the delivery of group and individual talking therapies within a multidisciplinary secondary mental health and addiction service
