About the Role
The Cardiology Department at Te Whatu Ora Waitematā are seeking a Specialist Cardiac Sonographer to develop and lead an internal programme that meets the ongoing learning and development needs of the Cardiac Sonographer Team. Working closely with the Leadership Team and Clinical Director, the successful applicant will provide clinically focussed advanced training and support to the team, ensuring the service and care provided is evidence based, safe, effective, and patient-centred.

About you
Our ideal applicant will have:
- A Cardiac Ultrasound qualification acceptable for registration with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologists Board
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified Cardiac Sonographer
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising students in a clinical field
Preference will be given to candidates with experience mentoring or tutoring Cardiac Sonographers, as well as holders of Adult Education, Management, or Masters qualifications.
