About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Service Development Manager to lead the planning and design of innovative service models across Kidz First. This role ensures that services are responsive to community needs, aligned with strategic priorities, and delivered efficiently and effectively.

You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, drive continuous development, and enable initiatives that strengthen outcomes for children and their whānau.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and building strong, collaborative relationships to support successful service improvement across Kidz First

  • Leading and coordinating service development initiatives that enhance outcomes for children, families, and caregivers

  • Ensuring service models are culturally responsive, equitable, and aligned with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles

  • Using data, feedback, and evidence to inform service design, improvement, and evaluation

  • Prepare and present high-quality business cases to support service delivery enhancements.

  • Working closely with clinical and operational leaders to support integrated care pathways and seamless service delivery

  • Representing Kidz First in relevant forums, working groups, and partnerships to advocate for service development priorities

 

About You:

You are an experienced and strategic thinker who brings strong capability in service improvement and organisational development.

You will bring:

  • A minimum of five years’ relevant experience in your area of practice

  • Experience in problem-solving, priority-setting, and strategic planning at an organisational level

  • Demonstrated service improvement project experience

  • Extensive experience in change management

  • Strong strategic writing skills aligned with executive-level expectations

 

Your ability to engage others, inspire collaboration, and translate vision into meaningful action will be key to your success in this role.
