About the Role

The Senior Occupational Therapist would provide oversight of an Occupational Therapy Assistant in working together in the delivery of an eating disorders day program, as well as being part of the adult multidisciplinary team that provides assessment and treatment across the specialist regional eating disorders continuum within Te Toka Tumai.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Tupu Ora is a regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for, children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders, and this position would be with our clinical team working with adults. Tupu Ora also provides consultation to and liaison with community services and hospitals in the Metro Auckland and Northland region.

Tupu Ora has a continuum of services including community/outpatient, intensive day programme and residential options.

The Tupu Ora community team provides specialist treatment to children, adolescents and adults presenting with moderate to severe eating disorders in the community and outpatient setting.

Our residential unit is a supra regional 9 bedded residence providing residential treatment from our unit in Pt Chevalier.

About you

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with experience in mental health and proven clinical competence in group planning and facilitation.

Experience in the treatment of eating disorders is desirable however, the below requirements are minimal requirements:

· A full and clean NZ driver licence is essential in this community-based role.

· NZ Registered Occupational Therapist 

· Current Annual Practising certificate

· A minimum of 4 years post graduate experience including a minimum of 2years within the area of specialty
