About the Role
Tumanako and He Manu Pae (Sub Acute Unit) in Whangārei has a vacancy for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team providing high quality and effective Inpatient Occupational Therapy for Mental Health Services. We welcome all interested applicants, including new graduates. You will contribute to the provision of Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for our Tūroro in the Inpatient Service.

About the Team/Service/Location
Our Mental Health and Addiction Tumanako unit, acute in-patient services, provide a full range of alcohol and drug and mental health services including assessment, group, family/whānau and individual interventions, hospital based therapies to people with co-existing mental health, alcohol and other drug misuse addiction problems/disorders.

About you
The successful applicant will be an effective member of the Tumanako Inpatient and He Manu Pae units’ multi-disciplinary team, as well as the Mental Health Occupational Therapy team. This role would suit a dynamic, motivated and self-directed therapist.
Preferred applicants will:
- Have an interest in working in the mental health and addiction sector
- Be registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand, with a current practicing certificate
- Hold a current NZ driver’s licence
