Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to make a real impact on the lives of children and their whaanau? We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Kidz First Child Development team, providing specialist clinical expertise and leadership in a collaborative, supportive environment.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy interventions for children with developmental difficulties or disabilities
- Work closely with families, taking a whaanau-centered approach to therapy
- Manage complex cases with advanced clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Provide mentorship and clinical leadership within the team
- Support service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care
- Participate in ongoing professional development and research activities
- Accreditations for wheeled mobility, specialised equipment and housing modifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in paediatric Occupational Therapy or related settings
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills for managing complex cases
- Experience in clinical supervision, mentoring, and team leadership
- High standard of communication skills with colleagues and whanau
- Knowledge of best practices, service development, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Commitment to equity, innovation, and delivering high-quality healthcare
- Full, clean drivers licence
