Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to make a real impact on the lives of children and their whaanau? We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Kidz First Child Development team, providing specialist clinical expertise and leadership in a collaborative, supportive environment.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy interventions for children with developmental difficulties or disabilities
  • Work closely with families, taking a whaanau-centered approach to therapy
  • Manage complex cases with advanced clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Provide mentorship and clinical leadership within the team
  • Support service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and research activities
  • Accreditations for wheeled mobility, specialised equipment and housing modifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in paediatric Occupational Therapy or related settings
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills for managing complex cases
  • Experience in clinical supervision, mentoring, and team leadership
  • High standard of communication skills with colleagues and whanau
  • Knowledge of best practices, service development, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Commitment to equity, innovation, and delivering high-quality healthcare
  • Full, clean drivers licence
