About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced New Zealand Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic, supportive, and self-motivated dietitian team as a Senior Dietitian. This is a permanent part-time role with 0.5FTE/20 hours per week. This role is based at Auckland City Hospital. You’ll be part of the Clinical Support Services Dietetic team, based at Auckland City Hospital.
- Proactively work with a complex caseload across the in and outpatient settings while delivering high quality outcome focused innovative care, applying evidence-based practice, interventions and education
- Enhance your skills and knowledge in the comprehensive management of a variety of patients with a focus on haematology patients
- Receive support to lead clinical education and quality improvement initiatives
- Work in partnership with an individual and their whānau to provide client care
- Optimize patient experience by utilizing your excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Collaborate with team members and other work groups to achieve our service objectivesTop of Form
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team is made up of passionate and supportive dietitians who are dedicated to advocating for our patients and enhancing nutrition-related outcomes within our community. We consist of 30 FTEs, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

About you
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate with prescribing endorsement
- A minimum of four years post-graduate and experience working as clinical dietitian
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
- Be a great connector of people and ideas
- An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
- Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skills
- Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full, clean NZ Drivers’ License
