About the Role
As a Patient Transport Driver, you’ll play a vital role in supporting renal dialysis patients by ensuring safe, reliable transport to and from their treatments. You’ll build meaningful connections with patients and their whānau, providing a service that is not only efficient but also compassionate and respectful.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working a minimum of 40 hours per week. Shifts are rostered across five days, Monday to Saturday, with split shifts each day and occasional Sundays during the festive season.

You’ll begin and end each shift from home, with a dedicated passenger service vehicle provided for work-related use only. Operating across Northland, this role offers flexibility in location and the rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in people’s lives every day.

About you
You are a compassionate and empathetic professional with outstanding communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting people from all walks of life. You thrive in diverse environments and are dedicated to delivering exceptional care with sensitivity and respect. As a positive, adaptable team player, you’ll respond thoughtfully to individual needs, bringing warmth, understanding, and a caring presence to every interaction.
- Current, clean full Class 1 New Zealand Drivers Licence
- Passenger (“P”) Endorsement for Small Passenger Service (SPSL) vehicles
- Good knowledge of Northland roads and geography
- Professional driving experience in a taxi, or other passenger services
- Proven knowledge of Worktime and Logbook Rule for operating within a passenger service environment
Previous experience in the health sector is desirable, however not essential to apply.
