Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Join our Adult Medical Services Directorate at Te Toka Tumai, Auckland. Ideal opportunity for you to utilise your skills and experience in providing specialist nephrology service towards advancing excellence and equity in the prevention and care of kidney disease in Auckland region.

Te Toka Tumai’s Renal Transplant Unit provides services for 9 other hospitals and performs approximately 130 transplants each year. This includes blood group incompatible kidney transplants and is the national referral centre for combined pancreas and kidney transplantation. We provide nephrology services for the central Auckland Region including haemodialysis for 350 patients which involves an active home haemodialysis service. The peritoneal dialysis unit provides care for approximately 60 patients.

We have two full time permanent opportunities (one in transplantation and one in nephrology) for skilled specialists keen to be part of the renal team at Te Toka Tumai. Join our team and contribute to the mahi(work) we do.

To be eligible:

  • You must currently hold (or be eligible for) Vocational/Specialist Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (www.mcnz.org.nz),

  • Appropriate postgraduate qualifications, relevant training and experience are required.
