Relieving Transcriptionist, Patient Information Service
The opportunity:
We currently have a vacancy available for experienced, Medical Transcriptionist. This is a full-time position working 40 hours Monday to Friday, business hours and based at Middlemore Hospital.
The successful applicant will be one of a team in the Clinical Transcription Service, which provides medical transcriptionist support through Transcription for various Clinical Services.
We offer an excellent training programme to ensure staffs are able to work independently in a short time frame, and ongoing supports are provided for all employees.
About you:
If you have previous medical experience then this is a great opportunity. We will consider applicants who do not have a medical background, but have proven fast, accurate Dictaphone typing, which are essential, as it is very a busy, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will need to have;
- Dictaphone typing/Transcription experience
- Minimum typing speed of 55wpm
- Intermediate level of MS Office Word & Outlook Awareness and understanding of patient confidentiality
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure

The salary range is dependent on skills and experience and will be paid in line with the National Administration Collective agreement.
