About the Role
We are excited to seek applications from experienced senior mental health practitioners and leaders for our new mental health Rehabilitation Coordinator.
This brand-new role will have the privilege of operationalising and delivering our new therapeutic group programme based in our rehabilitation centre on site.
The group programme will be delivered for community based whai ora who have serious mental health needs as part of their recovery programme and treatment and will cover aspects such as social & vocational skills, medication self-management, healthy lifestyles, self-regulation and mindfulness and cultural connectedness among others.
Once established and key service development objectives have been met this role will also operationalise the residential component delivering a four bedded rehabilitation whare to whai ora identified as needing intensive residential rehabilitation.

About you
Successful candidates will be:
· health practitioners with current APCs and scope of practice to enable working in mental health and addiction services (Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, Social Worker);
· 5+ years’ experience in acute and/or community based mental health &/or addiction services, preferably with strong rehabilitation knowledge and experience;
· Experience leading or managing clinical teams and establishing successful services
· Excellent clinical knowledge base and adept ability to provide psychoeducation for whai ora, whanau and health care providers.
· Ability to work under pressure, be a good team player, demonstrate leadership skills and positively contribute to service delivery;
