About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in our Te Ara Tiaki Pakeke Department, you will play a vital role in providing safe, effective, and compassionate care to older adults. You will assist with safe and timely patient journeys and discharge planning.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the inpatient interdisciplinary team and whānau to deliver patient-centred, equitable care. This role will be based alongside our NASC assessors, Home and Community Support Services, Allied Health Response team, Fracture liaison service and administrative staff in Te Ara Tiaki Pakeke, Healthy Ageing.

About you
We would like to hear from you if you have;
- Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Are eligible to work in New Zealand
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving Māori health outcomes
- Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Postgraduate study or working towards PDRP advancement would be advantageous
- RN with an interest in Gerontology, stroke and rehabilitation – Experience desired
- Those considering progression into advanced or specialist nursing roles
- Strong assessment and communication skills
