About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, in Taupo Emergency Department, no 2 days are the same, providing nursing care for patients presenting acuity to a rural Emergency Department across all spans of life. We offer a variety of shifts, on-going professional development opportunities and professional support.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team of Registered Nurses are dedicated to providing the best level of care, whilst also managing to apply a rural lens to problem solving. The Hospital has a friendly and close knit team and also is able to rely on Rotorua Hospital for their support.

About you
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma – Desirable
- Experience in Emergency Care Nursing
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adjust to changing needs of the department
- Prioritisation skills
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Honesty, reliability and confidentiality
- The ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Maintain a calm disposition under pressure
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Having a current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate or working towards it.
