About the Role
The Community Clinic (Midwife/Nurse Led Clinic) is looking for a Registered Nurse to join its small, specialist and cohesive team in providing sexual and reproductive health care.
This role serves to ensure equity and access. The opportunity exists to further develop the depth of skill sets necessary to provide ongoing comprehensive levels of best practice sexual and reproductive health/clinical care being delivered in relationally based culturally sensitive and appropriate ways.
The successful applicant will have skills and experience in contraception, immunisation, STI screening and treatment and cervical screening.
This role will also be working to support people across the gender diversity spectrum, women experiencing first trimester loss and women seeking termination of pregnancy.
The comprehensive range of sexual and reproductive health services and relational model of care provided by the Community Clinic is unmatched across the country. Typically, sexual health, abortion and contraception services are provided by separate providers in separate locations; the abortion clinic, the sexual health clinic, the contraception clinic. At the Community Clinic all services are free of charge, most services are available daily with appointments available Monday to Friday as booked or walk in. Wait time is minimal. The clinic is well utilized with an average of 300+ consultations per month.

About you
· Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth (mandatory)
· Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings. (mandatory)
· Current NZ Registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (see RN Job Description)
· Committed to completing training in Narrative Therapy, a postgraduate counselling programme run through the University of Waikato.
