About the Role

A position as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Theatre's PACU offers a rewarding opportunity to provide critical care to patients recovering from surgery.

In this role, you'll monitor vital signs, manage pain, assess recovery from anaesthesia, and collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure safe, effective post-operative care. The PACU environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. It’s an ideal opportunity for RNs seeking to specialize in perioperative care, with the potential for career advancement and personal satisfaction in making a direct impact on patient recovery.

About you

·       Are you an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse ready to advance your skills in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) environment?

·       You will have a minimum of 12 months’ acute or critical care experience following New Zealand registration.

·       Confident in using electronic health records to support safe and effective perioperative care.

·       Demonstrates excellent communication and documentation skills within a fast-paced multidisciplinary team.

·       Brings strong critical thinking, clinical judgement, and decision-making abilities to ensure optimal patient outcomes in the perioperative setting.
