About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the chemotherapy and oncology outpatient team has become available, and applications are invited from Registered Nurses to fill up to 2.0 of available FTE. The role will be working in the chemotherapy delivery unit and will encompass oncology outpatient clinics. The successful candidate would be required to work 8-hour shifts between Monday and Friday, 0800-1630.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The position will be located in the new purpose built Taranaki Cancer Centre. You will be working alongside a wider team of Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Technicians, Haematologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurse, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Administration teams. The new Taranaki Cancer Centre is a standalone state of the art specialist cancer facility that has been purpose built to accommodate Radiation Oncology, Chemotherapy and visiting MidCentral oncology/Haematology outpatient clinics.

About you
As a Registered Nurse working in chemotherapy and oncology outpatients, we are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes.
- Recent Medical/Oncology nursing experience
- Previous experience in a chemotherapy delivery unit would be an advantage
- Be committed to self-directed learning and ideally engaging in Post Graduate studies
- Have excellent patient assessment skills
- Adaptability, flexibility and motivation to develop knowledge and skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Current Annual Practising Certificate
- Be motivated and willing to learn about Oncology Nursing
