About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the Radiology Department, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and clinical teams across various radiological modalities at Hawke's Bay Hospital. This is a fixed-term 0.8 FTE maternity leave cover role for a highly motivated and energetic nurse who thrives in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

You’ll work closely with radiologists and radiographers, assisting with a range of procedures primarily in CT, ultrasound, and MRI. Depending on your prior experience, you may also be involved in angiography and interventional radiology. This is a Monday to Friday position with hours between 8.00 am and 4.30 pm, although there may be some weekend day shifts or later start times required to meet service demands.

About you

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:A current New Zealand nursing APC

  • A minimum of 2 years’ post-graduate nursing experience
  • Existing IV cannulation skills (preferred)
  • Experience or interest in Medical Imaging nursing (training will be provided if needed)
  • A flexible approach to working hours to meet service needs
  • A positive, team-focused attitude and a willingness to learn new skills in a specialised area
