About the Role
The Registered Nurse – Foot Protection Service (FPS) plays a key role in delivering care for patients with diabetic foot disease. Working collaboratively with podiatry staff, the Diabetes Integrated Team (DIT), general practitioners, and other healthcare providers, the FPS nurse supports the identification, treatment, and education of patients with complex needs within the service.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The FPS are driven to provide high-standard Podiatry, education and support for the communities we work in. The FPS connects patients and whānau with multiple providers and works as an essential part of the Diabetes Integrated Team, who oversee a progressive model of care spanning Primary, Secondary, Iwi and Community; MDT meetings and clinics bringing specialists together for improved patient outcomes.

About you
As a registered nurse you will have:
- A relevant graduate qualification with a minimum 4 years clinical experience
- Be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council and have a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
- Hold a current full NZ drivers’ licence.
- Preferably have experience:
- Working with patients with diabetes
- With wound care
