About the role:
We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join EPIT (Early Psychosis Intervention Team), in the vibrant and culturally diverse community of South Auckland.
At Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, people and their lives matter to us. Our community based Early Psychosis Intervention Service (EPIT), is seeking an enthusiastic clinician to join our team. We engage with young adults (<30 years) and their whaanau, supporting them on their journey toward recovery.
EPIT is a specialist mental health service that provides assessment and treatment for adolescents and young adults presenting with a first episode of psychosis.
As a Registered Nurse in our team, you will play a key role in supporting whaiora through:
- Facilitating therapeutic group sessions
- Providing case management and coordinated care
- Medication management and metabolic screening
- Contributing to comprehensive assessments of functioning
- Developing and implementing recovery‑focused interventions that support meaningful participation in life roles important to whaiora and their whānau
You will work both collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team and autonomously within an early intervention model of care that values evidence‑based practice, cultural responsiveness, and person‑centred recovery.
Salaries are based on the PSA Mental Health & Public Health Nursing Collective Agreement, Registered Nurse Scale.

Essential requirements
- NZ Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current APC
- Knowledge of mental illness and treatment interventions
- Full and clean NZ Drivers Licence
