About the Role
District Nurses at Te Toka Tumai | Auckland enjoy a varied and autonomous role in the provision of care closer to home, within a multidisciplinary locality-based team.
This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within the community. The service takes a holistic approach, supporting clients with a wide range of nursing needs while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Key areas of care include:
- Specialised wound care, including leg ulcer assessment and treatment
- Support with intravenous medication management
- Urinary and suprapubic catheter care
- Continence support
- Stoma care
- Injections, including rheumatic fever prophylaxis
- ACC nursing care
- Education, advice, and health coaching for clients and whānau
- A broad range of other community nursing needs, including palliative care

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC
- A full and clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
