About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our integrated Adult Community Mental Health and Addiction service. If you are a Registered Nurse, with at least 4 years' experience in Mental Health and Addictions and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team environment then we would like to hear from you. You will play a vital role in the delivery of mental health care to people who are most severely affected by mental illness and/or addiction in our Hastings community.

 

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our team consists of Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Community Support Workers and Administrative team all with a passion in supporting our community living with mental health and addiction issues. Our team is dedicated to working with people to enhance their recovery by which they are living with conditions such as psychotic disorders, severe personality disorders, severe anxiety disorders, major depression, alcohol and substance abuse issues, as well as co-existing conditions.

About you

Key qualities for a Registered Nurse to join our team would be:

  • someone with a current New Zealand Nursing Registration, have a completed postgraduate certificate in Mental Health
  • Full clean drivers’ licence.
  • One whom is an effective communicator, who will work alongside people to facilitate and enable recovery and resilience skills. Be highly motivated to make a difference and one who will provide best practice, nursing skills and knowledge to the people they work alongside.
  • A nurse who will show support and engages people in activities in the community to support their recovery.
  • One who will advocate for their patients and whanau and works in collaboration with clients, whanau and staff.
  • Will show cultural awareness and incorporate this into their practice. As well as be able to demonstrate a can-do attitude to maximise recovery for our Hastings community. Also have a Willingness to contribute to the on-going development of the service and be a valued team member.
