About the Role

Nau mai, haere mai ki Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Auckland! Working for Auckland is an opportunity for you to make a real difference in the health and wellbeing of our Auckland community. You’ll be joining the Greenlane Surgical Perioperative PACU team.

In this role you will be working in PACU at Greenlane Surgical Unit based in Epsom. We offer elective surgical services for day and overnight stay for a variety of specialities for both Adults and Paediatrics, including Paediatric & adult Ophthalmology, Dental, ORL, General Surgery, paediatric Orthopaedics and adult Gynaecology and Urology. We have an overnight inpatient facility provided onsite. Within the Operating Room Department there is a large Post Anaesthetic Care Unit which has 1st stage PACU beds and lazy boy rooms. We also have a day of admission unit with paediatric and adult areas that PACU staff rotates through.

About You

· At least 2 years’ experience in PACU, with a commitment to developing further.

· Work within a multi-disciplinary perioperative team.

· Bring a positive attitude, innovative and adaptable approach to practice.

· Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing quality care.

· Hold NZ Nursing Council registration and a current APC.
