About the Role
As a Registered Midwife, you will work in a dynamic and supportive maternity environment where no two days are the same. Based at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, you will provide high-quality, woman-centred care across a full spectrum of maternity services, supporting women and their whānau through pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. With approximately 4,000 births each year, you will gain exposure to both primary and secondary care, including low-risk and complex cases, ensuring a varied and professionally rewarding experience.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our maternity team at North Shore Hospital provides comprehensive care to a diverse community, supporting around 4,000 births annually across primary and secondary services. The team is known for its collegiality, mutual respect, and commitment to excellence in maternity care.
About You
As a Registered Midwife, you will bring a passion for delivering high-quality maternity care and a commitment to supporting women and their families throughout their birthing journey. You will thrive in a team-oriented environment and value continuous learning and development.
You will have:
- Current registration with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand (or eligibility to obtain)
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a maternity setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining practice standards
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with LMCs and the wider multidisciplinary team.
