Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.

About the Role

Raurau Ngaehe is the chemotherapy electronic medicines management (eMM) system used across the Northern Region. It is a web and tablet-based application that facilitates electronic prescribing, pharmacy, and administration of chemotherapy and supportive medicines for adult and paediatric patients, including stem cell transplant recipients.

As the Raurau Ngaehe Informatics Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Raurau Ngaehe, ensuring its smooth operation across the Northern Region. This includes coordinating with regional experts to develop and maintain chemotherapy protocols, providing guidance and training to system users, and identifying opportunities for system improvements. You will also facilitate software updates, oversee user access and permissions, and ensure business continuity by collaborating with key stakeholders.

This role is highly collaborative, requiring engagement with pharmacists, clinicians, nurses, IT teams, and governance groups. You will work closely with external stakeholders, including compounding organisations, Te Aho o Te Kahu, and PHARMAC, while also supporting clinical trials and research teams in system use. Additionally, you will contribute to data analysis for audits and reporting, conduct system testing, and play a key role in the ongoing enhancement of Raurau Ngaehe.
