About the Role

As a Quality & Patient Safety Advisor, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and assist clinical directorates in an advisory role, to always promote a quality improvement agenda.

You will be able to use your quality improvement skills and experience to identify opportunities for strategic and operational improvement.

You will be assigned a directorate portfolio and be able to work closely alongside all staff and fellow Quality & Patient safety advisors.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our team of Quality & Patient Safety unit is made up of Quality & Patient Safety Advisors, Risk Advisor, Medication safety advisor and Infection , Protection Control staff.

About you

As a Quality & Patient Safety Advisor you will require;

· A Tertiary level qualification (and/ or relevant health or disability sector experience) with knowledge of health sector systems coordination, project management, complaints management and/ or incident management processes,

· Current or previous clinical healthcare qualification. Note: there is no requirement to hold current professional registration,

· Evidence of training or self-directed learning in relation to quality and patient safety systems and quality improvement methodologies.

You will also need to be;

  • Self-motivated, be able to motivate and influence others and be able to demonstrate credibility in working with and influencing senior / other staff,
  • Flexible and able to adapt and adjust your own behaviour and strategies to meet organisational objectives

· Able to communicate complex information to clinical staff; be tactful, diplomatic, authentic, facilitative and realistic;
