About the role:
We are seeking an experienced, hand on Project Manager to plan, lead, and deliver complex service improvement and change initiatives across the Surgical Anaesthesia and Perioperative Services Division at Middlemore Hospital.
In this role, you will work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to support safe, efficient, and patient-centred perioperative care. Your work will directly contribute to improved quality, safety, patient flow, and resource utilisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead projects from concept through to implementation and evaluation
- Coordinate and engage a wide range of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
- Deliver measurable improvements in quality, safety, and service efficiency
- Ensure projects align with organisational strategy, Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments, and equity goals for Counties Manukau communities
About you
You are a confident and collaborative project manager who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You bring strong communication skills and a proven ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams and services.
You will also have:
- A tertiary qualification in health, project management, or business.
- At least 5 years’ experience project managing strategic initiatives from planning to implementation.
- Super User experience of SMO workbooks and collective agreements.
- Knowledge of rostering systems and MeT administration.
