About the Role
As the Project Lead for the establishment of the new Tamariki (Child) specialist multi-disciplinary team, you will work in close partnership with the relevant clinical and operational leaders within a tight four-month timeframe to undertake the following activities:
- Establishment of working group and a project plan including milestones and timeframes
- Facilitating development of model of care
- Development of recruitment strategy and staff orientation processes
- Set-up of physical environment – for staff and clinical interventions
- Identification of resources
About the Team/Service/ Location
Mental Health & Addiction services has received sustainable funding to establish a multi-disciplinary, specialist tamariki (child) mental health team which would enhance services for those tamariki up to intermediate schooling age by providing comprehensive assessments and recommendations, and short-term therapeutic interventions. This new community-based team, with a total of 11FTE, will be co-located and integrated with the existing Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health teams and be based at Springs Road in East Tamaki.

About you
The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing health-related projects or teams with strong time management skills. You will be confident in stakeholder engagement, both internal and external and be a pro-active problem-solver. Ideally you would be available to start immediately (subject to Occupational Health and Police Vetting clearance) and have confidence in working to tight deadlines. You will also have:
- Tertiary qualification in either health and / or programme management or comparable experience working at a project or health manager level
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in health sector
- Experience in implementing projects/ change in a complex environment
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- A full NZ Driver’s licence with no limitations
