About the role
This key role combines senior Professional Leadership for Audiology and Ear health workers with Advanced Practitioner-level expert clinical practice with an equal split of time allocated to each role. As Professional Leader, you will provide discipline-wide governance, workforce leadership, and assurance of clinical safety, while maintaining an agreed advanced clinical caseload. Working in close partnership with Clinical Directors, Operations Managers, and Audiology Team Leaders, you will drive the delivery of high-quality, equitable services aligned with Te Mauri o Rongo and Pae Ora.
About the Service
Starship Community provides multidisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people and their whānau living within the Auckland area. Our nursing, allied health and technical staff deliver health care services to children, young people, and their whānau in their home, school and community settings. A part of this service is the Hearing & Ear Health team consisting of our talented Audiologists, Newborn Hearing Screeners, Ear Nurses and Vision and Hearing Technicians.
About you
To succeed in this role you will have:
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification.
- Current registration as an audiologist and annual practising certificate in New Zealand
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience as an Audiologist
- Current driver’s license
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
- Knowledge of current standards of Audiology practice
Desired:
- Member of relevant professional body in New Zealand
- Masters or higher qualification
- Leadership qualifications
- Qualifications in clinical supervision/adult education
