- This is an exciting opportunity for current registered nurses to expand their nursing practice into a pre-admission role, focusing on the care of our Endoscopy patients.
- These are newly created roles to work with our Endoscopists to support the people of Taranaki to be prepared for their admission to the Endoscopy suite.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our expanded pre-admission team, focusing on the pre-admission for endoscopy patients.
Pre-admission is a first clinical contact role for patients having endoscopy procedures. The team provide education, support and planning tools to ensure patients are well informed and prepared for their procedure. This role also provides a vital link for identifying changes in health to ensure patients receive timely, appropriate and safe care.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team works closely with consultants to provide culturally safe, person-centred care utilising evidence-based nursing knowledge and skills to health care consumers and whānau.
The successful applicants will work in an outpatient space where they have easy links to the endoscopy booking team, NBSP CNS, pre-admission complex discharge coordinator and MDT.

About you
As a Pre-admission – Endoscopy RN you will need:
· New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
· Surgical / Medical nursing experience - minimum 5 years preferable
- Ideally hold a current Senior/Expert Nurse PDRP
- To undertake clinical assessment and management of health care consumers in a safe effective, timely and appropriate manner to maximise health care consumer outcomes
- Clinical assessment and Science post grad papers preferred
