About the Role

We have an exciting leadership opportunity for a Social Work Practice Supervisor to join our Social Work team. This is a permanent, Full-time position (1FTE). The Social Work Practice Supervisor role combines professional and people leadership, service development and quality improvement, with clinical practice. You will have the collegial support of the other Allied Health Practice Supervisors in the Adult Community Services, the Service Lead for Allied Health, Social Work Professional leader, and Adult Community Service Senior Leadership Team. The role is based between Greenlane Clinical Centre and Point Chevalier Clinical Centre site.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Community Allied Health Team is a large multidisciplinary service for adult clients who have physical health and disability needs and live in the central Auckland region. Our Social Workers work in multidisciplinary locality teams and are committed to the holistic delivery of health services within the Te Toka Tumai|Auckland community providing integrated care that is coordinated around the client and their needs.

About you

As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Is registered with the New Zealand Social Work Registration Board, and holds a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Holds a current clean drivers licence.
  • Has a minimum of 7 years’ clinical experience.
  • Is an experienced practitioner who is able to demonstrate a senior or advance level of clinical expertise.
  • Has proven supervision, mentoring, coaching and leadership skills.
  • Is motivated and passionate to ensure the delivery of high quality Social Work services.
  • Preferably has experience in the community setting.
  • Has experience in working in a multidisciplinary team.
