Planned Care Manager – Te Whatu Ora Taranaki

We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking leader to take on the role of Planned Care Manager for Te Whatu Ora Taranaki. This is a pivotal position responsible for ensuring our community has timely, equitable access to planned care services, and for driving performance against national health targets and the District Annual Plan.
About the role
The Planned Care Manager provides strategic leadership and guidance across all elective services, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centred care and efficient service delivery. You will be asissting Surgical and Medical Booking service leads, ensuring cohesive processes, strong performance, and continuous improvement.
Key focus areas include:
- Oversight of all elective and planned care services
- Delivery of national health targets and District Annual Plan priorities
- Strategic management of planned care funding and MoH improvement initiatives
- Ensuring equitable access and improved patient flow across the system
- Driving continuous quality improvement and service redesign
- Working with the Te Manawa Taki regional team to provide accurate and up to date data and reporting of progress
