About the Role
This role sits within the Allied Health Science and Technical Leadership Team. It is responsible for operational and professional leadership of Physiotherapists and Assistants across Rotorua and Taupo Hospitals. This role is varied and you are able to build close connections with other team leaders within the hospital. Physiotherapy team leaders across New Zealand work together collaboratively with monthly team meetings to connect and learn together. There is a small clinical component (.3FTE) within this role and you will be part of the on call and weekend roster. The team is a dynamic and enthusiastic group and demonstrate great initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for applicants wishing to progress their careers in leadership. This role reports to the Chief Allied Health, Science & Technical/Operations Manager and is responsible for leading a large team of Physiotherapists and advancing models of care.

About you
- You will be a Physiotherapist with at least 5 years’ experience, including in a health or other relevant setting.
- You may have specific operational leadership experience, but if not then you will be able to demonstrate how your previous roles have grown your leadership skills in other areas.
- You will have a demonstrated commitment to service development and quality improvement, and a strong ability to build relationships and establish connections with people from a wide range of services, settings, and backgrounds.
- You will value continuing professional development and be keen to seek out learning opportunities to grow your skills as a leader.
- You will be able to apply a strong equity lens to the work of the team, and work collaboratively to maximise our health outcomes for Māori.
