About the role | The Opportunity
Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Toka Tumai! Working with us is an opportunity for you to make a real difference in the health and wellbeing of our Auckland community.
Our Ophthalmology Service provides high quality care to patients in the Auckland Region and offers a range of secondary and tertiary services. This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week); you will be employed by Te Toka Tumai and be primarily based at Greenlane Clinical Centre. You will also be responsible to provide services at Counties Manukau and at various sites across Auckland.
You will enjoy working in a collaborative and cohesive team, and work alongside a large team of part-time and full-time Consultants providing tertiary sub-specialist provision in Medical Retina and all areas of Ophthalmology. You will also have the opportunity to engage in teaching as Te Toka Tumai is a major teaching and research centre, with strong links with the University of Auckland.
About you | Important Skills
You will be registered or be eligible for Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and have undertaken postgraduate training in Ophthalmology, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologist (or equivalent). It is essential to have clinical experience in the assessment and management of medical retina subspecialty.
