Operations Manager – Orthopaedic Service

We are seeking an experienced health professional with a dynamic, results-oriented approach to join our team during an exciting phase of growth and development. This position offers the chance to showcase your strong management skills by ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care outcomes. It is ideal for a proven team player ready to step into managing a large, complex service, potentially paving the way for a future senior management role.

In this fast-paced position, you will provide hands-on leadership and management for a diverse Orthopaedics service, with a focus on both service delivery and contributing to the divisional management team. Based in a surgical environment, this role offers a unique mix of acute and elective services, providing opportunities to develop and broaden your experience.

A key aspect of the role involves establishing and nurturing collaborative relationships with a diverse range of medical professionals across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and manage service activities to consistently deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.
  • Support managers in delivering unit and ward plans.
  • Develop business cases and apply analytical approaches to budget objectives.
  • Oversee financial performance for directly managed services.
  • Ensure achievement of performance targets and indicators.
