About Us
Many young people in New Zealand experience difficulties with their mental health, at some point over the course of their childhood and teenage years. At Te Whatu Ora, Waitemata, the Marinoto West Child & Adolescent team offers mental health support to young people and their families across both rural and urban areas within West Auckland. Marinoto Child Youth and Family Teams provide comprehensive and specialist mental health assessments, liaison and treatment to children, young people and their families/whanau across the age range of 0-19 years (there is flexibility with adult services for those young people aged 18-19 years).
About the role and About you
We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist with Child and Adolescent Mental Health experience. We are offering two full-time positions. We are after an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who wants to make a difference for our young people within West Auckland. You would be part of providing an Occupational Therapist voice within our multidisciplinary team.
Based at one of our West Auckland sites, you would be required to work Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8.30am to 5pm.

Requirements for the role:
- Professional Registration in New Zealand
- Full NZ Drivers Licence
- A desire to work with children, youth and their families who have complex mental health issues.
Preferred:
- Experience in using various media and tools to engage and sustain treatment with children, young people and their families.
- A Post Graduate qualification in Child and Youth mental health and/or recognised training in an evidence-based intervention for Child and Youth mental health presentations.
