About the Role

If you are an NZREX doctor wishing to gain general registration though a primary care pathway in the Lakes / Taupo district, we are accepting expressions of interest. The first twelve months of training will be at the Rotorua and Taupo Hospital, New Zealand in generalist attachments such as General Medicine, Older Peoples Health, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics or General Surgery, followed by primary care placements. We have 1 vacany in Rotorua and 1 vacancy in Taupo.

About you

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the Primary Care Prevocational Training Pathway towards General Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) applicants must:

·         Have passed the NZREX exam in the last 5-years.

·         Worked as a doctor for a minimum of 12 months

·         Have New Zealand Residency or Citizenship and be currently residing in New Zealand.

·         Be fully vaccinated.

·         Hold a full NZ driver’s licence

You will need to provide the following information:

·         An up-to-date CV

·         A copy of your medical degree

·         Three references

·         A copy of your passport and visa/resident details

·         Current police vetting results

·         Full or restricted drivers licence / International drivers licence.
