About the Role

As an Oral Health Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in delivering dental care to communities across Te Tai Tokerau. This position involves working in alignment with established policies and procedures to meet the needs of each client. You’ll also help ensure smooth clinical operations through effective organisation and administration practices.

About the Team/Service/Location

Our experienced Oral Health team, made up of Dentists, Oral Health Therapists, and Dental Assistants work across the region, with centres in Whangarei, Kaipara, Kerikeri, Kaikohe and Kaitaia. This is a community-based dental service for children under 18 years. We provide comprehensive oral health care through School, Adolescent, Community and Hospital Dental Services.

About you

We are looking for someone who brings a positive attitude and works well within a team, with the ability to work independently. A passion for supporting the community and improving health outcomes is essential. Strong communication skills, a commitment to bicultural practice, and a focus on achieving equitable outcomes for Māori are key to success in this role.

To be considered, you’ll need to be registered (or eligible for registration) with the NZ Dental Council as a Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist, and hold a current NZ driver’s licence.
