About the Role

The person provide and deliver safe moving and handling education to clinical and non-clinical staff at Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti.  The person will provide an education plan to ensure best practice with documentation and the ability to review safe systems, undertake equipment trials and making recommendations working alongside teams.  They are required to work alongside Occupational Health and participate in Health and Safety committees.

The person will report to the Director of Allied Health, Scientific and Technical and work alongside of an array of clinical and non-clinical teams.

About you

• Registered Allied Health, Scientific or Technical practitioner, or member of professional body if registration not applicable
• Where applicable, holds current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
• Minimum of 5+ years clinical experience
• Has led/delivered professional development activities in a healthcare environment
• Audit and evaluation skills, online teaching and learning expertise.
• Uses clear and effective communication to build and maintain strong relationships
• Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth 
• Application of Matauranga maori and Kaupapa maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
