Midwife Specialist Antenatal

Waitekere Hospital is part of Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) and as a District, Waitemata, is one of the fastest growing districts in the country and caters to over 6500 births per year.
Waitakere Maternity is one of 2 secondary facilities providing care within this district.
We are seeking an experienced midwife to lead and co-ordinate the care of women/pregnant people admitted for antenatal care, this is both acutely (day assessment) and ongoing in the ward. The role involves triaging clients appropriately to ensure effective care and efficient use of resources.
To be considered for the role you will need the following:
- Midwife registered with New Zealand Midwifery Council and holds a current Annual Practicing Certificate with no conditions
- QLP Leadership Domain
- Professional membership of NZCOM
- A strong understanding of, and commitment to, Turanga Kaupapa and equitable care
- Registered midwife with 5 years’ midwifery experience
- Has worked across the continuum of care, but especially antenatal care
- Has demonstrated clinical leadership, and is viewed as an expert
- Confident using Badgernet, GROW and other clinical information systems
- Demonstrates skill in multidisciplinary collaboration
