About the Role:
We currently have vacancies for experienced Medical Transcriptionists to join our Clinical Transcription Service. This service provides medical transcription support via Dictaphone typing for a range of clinical services.
Two permanent positions are available, working 32 or 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday during business hours. The roles are based at Middlemore Hospital.
We offer an excellent training programme to help staff become independent quickly, along with ongoing support for all employees.
About you:
If you have previous medical experience, then this is a great opportunity. We will consider applicants who do not have a medical background, but have proven fast, accurate Dictaphone typing/Transcription, which are essential, as it is very a busy, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidates will need to have;
- Dictaphone typing/Transcription experience
- Minimum typing speed of 55wpm
- Intermediate level of MS Office Word & Outlook Awareness and understanding of patient confidentiality
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
Previous experience in a health care setting and knowledge of Patient Information Management Systems (i.PM/PiMs) is advantageous.
