About the Role

Are you an MRI Technologist looking for flexibility while contributing to one of the most advanced healthcare environments in Aotearoa? We are seeking skilled professionals to join our Radiology team on a casual basis across the Auckland region. In this role, you will support essential diagnostic imaging that directly impacts patient outcomes and care pathways.

Our Radiology Department operates four state-of-the-art MRI scanners:

• 1.5T Siemens Sola – Auckland City Hospital: cardiac imaging, plus a mix of inpatient and outpatient work
• 3T Siemens Vida – Auckland City Hospital: primarily acute and inpatient imaging
• 3T Siemens Skyra – Greenlane Clinical Centre: outpatient examinations
• 3T Siemens Skyra – Starship Children’s Hospital: paediatric imaging, with some adult work

Radiology in Auckland spans four major specialist departments:

• Auckland City Hospital
• Starship Children’s Hospital
• Greenlane Clinical Centre
• National Women’s Health

Our workforce includes 350+ professionals—MITs, MRI Technologists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Radiologists, Nurses, and Clerical staff—working together to deliver fast, accurate, high‑quality imaging services.

Our scale:

• 7‑day radiology service across Auckland City Hospital and Starship
• 40 TB of imaging data archived (9 years of diagnostics)
• 48 MIT students trained annually
• ~800 procedures and 50,000+ images produced every day

About You

We are looking for experienced and adaptable MRI Technologists who thrive in high‑volume, high‑tech environments and are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

You will be required to work variable shifts between 7:00am and 8:30pm, Monday to Sunday, and be available to work across:

• Auckland City Hospital (Adult Radiology)
• Starship Hospital (Paediatric Radiology)
• Greenlane Clinical Centre (Outpatients)

Important Skills

• Current registration with the New Zealand MRT Board
• A current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) – essential
• Experience MRI Technologist – essential
