About the Role
Health New Zealand - Te Tai Tokerau - Northland invites applications to join our growing Radiology Department The primary functions of this role are to participate in and maintain an efficient high quality radiographic service for Northland DHB in accordance with standards set by the NZMRT Board. You will need to be prepared to work rostered duties and participate in the out of hours roster, which includes weekend and public holiday day shifts, evening and night shifts.

About the Team/Service/Location
The Te Tai Tokerau radiology department provides a full range of diagnostic imaging services across the Northland region. These roles are primarily based at Whangarei hospital, but with occasional shift coverage requirements at Kaitaia, Bay of Islands and Dargaville.
The department is digital with modern DR, CT, MRI and mammography equipment.

About you
Our ideal applicant will enjoy working in a small team, be involved in the teaching of our students, relate well to patients, and referrers, and have a genuine interest in technological developments and a high standard of image quality.
- Positions available for General MIT’s and MRI MIT’s.
- Current MRTB registration as MRI Technologist would be required - Experience in CT or MRI desirable, but not essential with training opportunities available
- Post-graduate qualification in MRI required for MRI position.
- Excellent understanding of MRI safety.
- Proven commitment to ongoing professional development
- Train and support students.
- Flexibility to work across modalities would be beneficial.
- Requirement to work within the current and evolving roster – to include weekends and evenings.
