About the Role
We are looking for a Clinical Social Worker with well-developed assessment and communication skills, who has experience in an inpatient setting and a strong interest in Women’s Health. You will be a dynamic, energetic and experienced professional who enjoys working autonomously as well as being part of a team. You will need experience in working with Māori and whānau and knowledge of Tikanga me Kaupapa Māori are highly desirable.

· Continue developing and embedding social work best practice on the ward
· Provide an advanced psychosocial assessment and therapeutic social work interventions for referrals received
· Confident in Risk Assessment and Interventions for Child Protection and situations of Family Violence
· Grief and Loss Counselling
· Pre decision counselling
· Complex Case Management
· Discharge planning

About you
· Proven clinical knowledge and expertise in management of women's health issues
· Excellent communication skills
· Experience working in a multi-disciplinary health setting to provide an excellent service to patients
· Registration with the New Zealand Social Worker’s Registration Board (NZ SWRB) with an APC
· Ability to work with the service to provide an on-call service on a rotating basis
