You will join a collaborative payroll service environment working closely with Payroll, AskHR, HR Managers, Remuneration, Districts, and wider People & Culture teams to ensure employees receive accurate advice and support relating to leave, compliance, and policy.

About you

You will bring: -
Essential:
• A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
• Understanding of the significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to apply its principles in your everyday work
• Sound knowledge of payroll-related legislation, including Holidays Act 2003, Wages Protection Act, Parental Leave Act, Kiwisaver Act
• 1+ years’ experience in payroll or HR environments
• Strong Microsoft Office capability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines, adapt to urgent requirements, and maintain accuracy under pressure
• Strong customer service mindset

Desirable:
• Experience using AMS Leader Leave Manager
• Experience with UKG Workforce Dimensions
• Prior experience reconciling or calculating leave entitlements
• Understanding of payroll systems, SQL data extraction, or audit processes
