About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and tech-savvy professional to join our Kidz First Neonatal Care team at Middlemore Hospital. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the BadgerNet Neonatal Electronic Patient Record (Neonatal EPR).
In this pivotal role, you will be collaborating with clinical leads, super-users, educators, and our System C to deliver high-quality digital support and promote best practices in data use and reporting.
Key responsibilities;
- Work with functional specialists and System C to maintain system integrity, including compatibility with local systems, e.g., patient administration system (PAS), and ensure ongoing functionality of any application programming interface (API)
- Work with clinical educators, coaches and other super-users to coordinate staff training
- Provide administrative reports on system performance, e.g., outages, usage, faults, data completeness etc
- Champion proper use of the system to enhance the quality and completeness of data
About You:
We are looking for someone with a strong blend of technical know-how, clinical understanding, and a passion for improving healthcare through smart data use.
- Relevant degree in information technology or data science with additional training in health data management or post-graduate degree in clinical science and research
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a health or clinical research environment
- Experience of working across a range of data management platforms and applications
- Broad understanding of health data management, including privacy requirements and indigenous data sovereignty principles
