About the Role
We are seeking interest from change leaders experienced in health care who have improvement expertise to provide comprehensive support for programmes and projects focused upon health target delivery at Te Tai Tokerau.
This is a permanent, full-time role and will require someone to address the challenges facing delivery of surgical services, finding the root causes for issues identified and delivering improvement projects to tackle these.

Primary functions of the role include:
- Utilise programme management methodologies and frameworks to enable programme(s) and underlying projects to be delivered in a structured, thorough and well-run manner.
- Identify root causes of issues, directing improvements to the areas that will make the most difference.
- Develop robust implementation strategies and plans for changes identified.
- Liaise closely with clinical and administrative teams to plan change management, minimising disruption to clinical activities and supporting teams.

Our team is responsible delivering safe, timely, appropriate surgical care to our community. The success of this role is a key component for establishing cost effective, efficient, and safe models of care therefore, ongoing achievement of the health targets.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have a high level of verbal and written communication skills as well as:
- Project management qualifications
- Project management experience including improvement projects
- A minimum of 10 years healthcare experience
- Presentation skills and a high level of computer literacy
- Experience in preparation of reports, slide decks and decision papers
