About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Health Care Assistant and join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team in the Surgical Unit at Te Whatu Ora Lakes.
This position is rostered shifts Monday to Sunday with a high percentage of night shifts
Are you caring? Hard working? Committed to quality patient care? If you are, we are looking for a Health Care Assistant to work alongside our nurses on the Surgical Unit.The Surgical Unit is very busy but the team is dedication and fun to work with!

About you
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a calm disposition under pressure
- The ability to accept direction and delegation and to seek assistance
- Ideally have experience in a health care setting or related health or consumer focused service e.g. hospitality
- Ideally have experience with companion care
