Our brand new two-storey, Manaaki Hōhonu building is constructed at the eastern end of the Waitākere Hospital campus. This new building is connected to the existing hospital via link bridges to the Ground and Lower Ground floors. It is the biggest capital investment on the West Auckland site in 20 years, increasing inpatient capacity and enabling care closer to home.

About the Role
We are seeking outstanding Health Care Assistants to join us. Karekare ward is an acute medical unit that meets the needs of patients presenting with a range of acute medical conditions.
Working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centred care while working in a supportive, collaborative, and positive team.

About you
To be considered we will need the following:
New Zealand Residency or Citizenship
At least 2 years’ experience working as a Health Care Assistant in an acute environment
A current First Aid certificate
NZQA level 3
Excellent customer service skills
Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system
Someone who thrives in high energy environments and can prioritise effectively
