About the Role

Health Care Assistant in AT&R you will be working closely with our registered nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists to provide rehabilitation to our patients. You will assist with activities of daily living, i.e. Showering, dressing, toileting, but also aid in the patient’s rehabilitation journey by helping them with exercises when Allied Health are not available. In ATR we do “with” the patient rather than “for” the patient.

As well as providing care and rehabilitation to our patients, you are required to carry out some “house-keeping” tasks to ensure our Unit is not only clean and tidy, but safe for our patients to mobilise around

About the Team

The team in AT&R work very closely together across the disciplines. The registered nurses and Health Care Assistants work in teams to provide care and rehabilitation to our patients. You are never alone with two nurses and a health care assistant per team. Communication is key for these teams to work, so bring your excellent communication skills to the forefront.
