About you
To you, this is not a typical leadership role.
You value people, where you understand that compassion is important in providing specialist medical care to people and their loved ones.
You value collaboration, where connections, relationships and co-design principles are at the centre of improvements to clinical practise and patient care environments.
You value systems – where better, best, brilliant performance management systems are important to achieve health outcomes and facilitate the patient journey.
Everyone matters. You know this instinctively and can demonstrate it in everything you do and empower your healthcare teams to reflect this.
As an established business leader, who has either a clinical background or extensive experience leading clinical services , you know what high quality health care delivery looks like and work hard to ensure patients have their care managed in a timely way by the appropriate healthcare professional.
You consider it’s important to set the standards and then let your team get on with their work but you also know to proactively anticipate issues and liaise with services to quickly remedy these.
You appreciate things are constantly changing and new technology and innovative ways of working invite possibilities but also challenges on which you need to lead and collaborate.
You appreciate cost considerations are part of running a large division and can manage complex financial, resource and business decisions.
You value the clinical leadership partnership with the Head of Division, knowing that shared goals, teamwork and clarity of goals and accountabilities will set the scene for better patient outcomes and an enhanced patient experience.
